ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS
The School Uniform is to be worn at all times and a note is required if a child is temporarily unable to wear any part of the uniform. Parents will be advised at the beginning of each school year as to which day/s your child is to wear their sports uniform.
All items are to be clearly marked with the child’s name. Please ensure that it is a proper iron-on or sew-on name tag. Names that are written with marker pen on the collar or tag soon wash off or fade with time.
The Uniform Shop is run weekly during school term from the
Southern Cross Centre - Uniform Shop (located downstairs).
If you are unable to make it to the uniform shop in person during operating hours, download the Price List & Order Form (see link above) or obtain one by contacting the uniform shop or the school office. For further information on how to place an order go to
Uniform Shop Information.
Prep
If your child is commencing Prep in 2013, download the
Prep Uniform Package (link above). This form is designed for St Mary MacKillop Prep students only and outlines uniform requirements for your child. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information or if you have any questions.
Useful Uniform Information
Tartan Culottes & Dress
Either option can be worn by the girls at Mary MacKillop from Grades 1 - 7. For your information: the older year girls usually wear the tartan culottes with the unisex dress shirt. However, this is only a guide as your child can choose to wear either garment. If you have any questions contact the Uniform Shop.
Winter Uniform
New style winter jacket & pants are available. New style is plain bottle green in colour (old style shows maroon strip). Either style is considered acceptable part of the uniform. Old style jackets are still available to purchase in selected sizes until stock sold out. For extra warmth, students can wear a plain bottle green fleecy sweat top / jumper (crew or v neck style) under their jackets. These items can be purchased at any retail store – they will not be available to purchase at the uniform shop.
School Shoes
Black leather school shoes / joggers are a compulsory part of the school uniform. Black canvas volley shoes are not be considered standard uniform. Shoes to be purchased from own source as they are not available to purchase from the Uniform Shop.
Athletes Foot at Capalaba & Carindale
MMK Sponsorship Program
Athletes Foot have a sponsorship program in which the school will receive $5 for every pair of footwear purchased at either of the stores for MMK students and their families. Both shops have a database in which customers are added upon the purchase of shoes. Please advise staff you are from MMK and your name and subsequent purchases within that family are recorded on the database. In turn MMK will receive vouchers or sporting equipment to be utilised at school. This is a great opportunity for all our families.
If you are thinking of purchasing shoes for sport or school – think Athletes Foot @ Capalaba & Carindale.
For more information visit Athletes Foot Capalaba or Carindale where they will fit your child into the right pair of shoes. An information leaflet is available for download via the links above.
Socks White
Please ensure your child wears
plain white socks that
cover the ankle. Students no longer need to wear the ‘turn over style’ but this style is still considered acceptable part of the uniform. These items are available at the Uniform Shop or can be purchased from your own source. Anklet or other short style
are not accepted.
