ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
Last Friday’s athletics carnival was a great success and we were blessed with wonderful weather. Our students are to be congratulated for their wonderful efforts and levels of sportsmanship and cooperation. A big thankyou goes to Terrence and Connor who did such a great job preparing our oval. Thanks also to the parents and teachers who helped out on the day.

Congratulations to Green for winning the Overall Trophy, Red for winning the Teams Trophy and Blue for winning the Spirit Trophy.  Congratulations also to our Age Champion.s

ATHLETICS TRAINING
Will begin on the Wednesday of the first week after the holidays. From then on training will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings before school starting at 7:40am and finishing at 8:10am. Students are asked to wear appropriate clothing to training. They are to change back into their uniforms before school. Whilst training is designed for those students preparing for interschool athletics all children are most welcome to attend. We only have four weeks of training until the Bayside District Carnival (August 9 & 10) and five weeks until the Bayside Catholic Carnival (August 16) so it is important that athletes attend as many trainings as possible.

I will place copies of both proposed teams on the walls outside the Year 3-6 classrooms so that students are aware of their need to train. Paperwork for the Bayside District carnival should arrive home early next term.
